Offering a beyond stunning highly collectible designer EISENBERG signed vintage 1940's - 1955 brilliantly clear crystal layered spray brooch that can optionally be converted into a One-of-a-Kind hair comb (permanently). The perfect "Something Old" for the Bride! This one is so gorgeous! Photos are in no way doing this jewel justice or capturing the sparkle adequately. The dimensional wreath shaped ornate shiny silver rhodium plated setting is lavishly encrusted with claw set varying sized round cut BRILLIANTLY clear sparkly crystal rhinestones. Wrapping over some of the larger sized crystals are open work double "swirls" that are closely pave set with tiny brilliantly clear sparkly crystal rhinestones that adds even more interest and sparkle. I love the dimension to this piece with the open center and arched swirls not to mention the incredible sparkle. This heirloom brooch measures 1 7/8 inches (4.8cm) wide at the widest point though it has more presence then the dimensions imply. All crystals are present, accounted for and full of amazing sparkle and the pin back functioning perfectly. The jewel absolutely glimmers as it catches the light. It would be stunning pinned to a simple ribbon as a wedding gown sash! Or, I can convert it into a One-of-a-Kind bridal hair comb by removing the back and mounting on a high-end silver plated comb for you (No extra charge. Specify at check-out). This one will be gorgeous next to an updo! The brooch would be mounted at a slight angle to the comb base so that the hair can slip behind the brooch to the top of the comb keeping it secure. Why settle for vintage "look" (that always looks like a reproduction) cookie cutter produced when you can have an authentic designer, high-quality period jewel?!?!?
This extraordinary jewel is signed "EISENBERG" without copyright symbol dating it from the 1940s up to 1955 when the copyright symbol was added to Eisenberg hallmarks. It just doesn't get any better than Eisenberg.
"Eisenberg Jewelry happens to be some of the finest costume jewelry ever made. Despite the fact that the company never used real gemstones, gold, or silver, the jewelry is of the very best quality...This superior workmanship stands the test of time and holds up well, barely showing any signs of age." From "The History of Eisenberg Jewelry" By Susan M Keenan.
